I am a textile professional with a passion for design, technology, and color. My broad range of experience is working with apparel & home products manufacturers large and small, independent designers, start up’s, decorators and stationary companies.
The extent of products I have successfully developed includes apparel for all categories, fashion accessories, bedding, towels, tabletop, stationary, tech accessories, handbags, window treatments, and footwear. My 20+ years of industry experience means I can see the big picture and quickly present creative solutions for design and production issues. I understand mill limitations, know how to communicate with global partners, and have the design sense to make changes while maintaining creative intent.
Creating and developing a cohesive brand identity with a visual narrative of color, graphics, surface pattern design and product styling is the aspect that I enjoy most while utilizing CAD and new technologies.
It’s exciting to connect the consumer with products that suit their lifestyle and point of view which is grounded in great design.
Design should be fun and collaborative. Team building is about thoughtful ideas, strategic planning and capitalizing on creativity and all aspects of new technology.
Communicating design information quicker and easier, or totally revamping a department by modernizing hardware, software solutions and on-site training, I understand how to adapt technology in a way that increases the production adoption timeline and cuts costs.
It’s important to lead by example and inspire other designers and creative professionals to grow in their field. Teaching affords me the opportunity to give back and nurture new ideas. It also enables me to stay up to date with new resources and technology.
