The mission of WithIt's Scholarship Foundation is . . .
"To encourage and develop leadership, mentoring,
education, and opportunities for professional women in the home
furnishing industries by providing scholarships to students deserving
and possessing qualities, creativity and a desire to develop a
successful career in the home furnishings industry."
WithIt, a non profit organization supporting women in the home furnishings
industry, established the Jena and Stephen B Hall Scholarships to recognize and nurture the
academic endeavors of preeminent college students enrolled full-time in fields of study that
would logically lead to careers in the home furnishings industry.
WithIt Members Introduce Students to Market
Scholarships
are presented annually in July. Judging is based on the student's
academic performance, as reflected by the grade point average, SAT/ACT
scores and curriculum selected. Subjective judging criteria will
include essays, references and statement of personal goals. Special
emphasis will be placed on involvement in extracurricular activities
and the community. Financial need may be considered.
